Cases

One controlled run we can name.

Each case has an input, an output, and a check you can repeat. The sources are controlled and non-real. Observed 30 August 2026. No customer documents are on this page.

Key takeaways

  • Published live cases: 1.
  • A case needs a named input, a named output, and a repeatable check. Eval hashes are not that.
  • Paying-user files, emails, and identity are not used here.

demo-1 held as a likely receive-side optical fault

Input. Controlled degraded-link telemetry for site demo-1: the downstream link was down, local receive power was about -28 dBm, and the upstream router was still reachable without proof that management used the same traffic path.

Output. A likely receive-side optical-fault diagnosis plus a read-only DOM checklist covering local and far-end Tx/Rx power, temperature, voltage, bias current, alarms, link length, and attenuation budget. Public proof: signalnook-optical-fault.png, 376853 bytes.

How to verify. Open /evidence/signalnook-optical-fault.png and match demo-1, about -28 dBm, the diagnostic rows, the do-not-do instructions, and the conditional dispatch conclusion.

What this does not prove

These records do not prove production availability, live platform connections, or outcomes a person still has to decide. Compare the named output with the named input before you rely on it.

FAQ

How to read these cases

Are these customer stories?

No. Every published case is a controlled, non-real packet we ran ourselves. There are no customer names, emails, or uploaded documents from paying users on this page.

Why would SignalNook list zero cases?

A published case needs a named input, a named output, and a check you can repeat from those files. If that record does not exist yet, this page does not invent one.

Are eval certificates cases?

No. A live-certificate.json file records hashes and scores for the in-repo suite. It is not a download sitting next to a named source that a reader can open.

Will you use a paying user's files as a case?

No. This page will not publish a paying user's materials, email, or identity. If a case appears, it is a controlled packet we ran ourselves.
